Aubusson Blue is AWESOME! It is such a beautiful color.
I painted a couple of things today with it that I will share soon. Here's a hint:
I know . . . I know . . . it's already beautifully distressed, but it was green. It looks blue in this picture for some reason, but it was a true green. This sat in my storage room in its green state for the longest and today I gave it new life. As I stated before, there will be more on that later.
I also tackled this flea market find (you remember the one with the spiders) with a little help from Old White and Paris Grey. Here's an old picture to remind you of what I was working with:
Once I removed that flaking stuff off this stool, I was amazed at the beautiful wood underneath. I will share the final results of the makeover I was totally happy with.
The last makeover I completed, was a mirror. An ugly, green mirror.
I was told that this speckled green mirror sat for several months waiting for someone to see its potential. I loved the design and knew that paint would give it a totally different vibe. Annie Sloan paid it a visit and brought along some Old White and Paris Grey, but I don't know if they'll stay or not.
